Hi all,
Thanks for your efforts with V6. Unfortunately my boss doesn't think we should be the testing grounds for bug hunting and doesn't want a version of software that shuts down without warning on his console.
I'm pleased to hear I can revert to V5 which only passed out twice in a year as opposed to twice in a week with V6.
I look forward to getting back to V6 once the bug hunting has provided a more stable platform
Cheers
Chris
Speaking of reinstalling v5: I'm doing that today.
Is it necessary to remove the CongoHelpFile.exe application as well or will v510 run fine w/it in place? I'm gonna leave it alone unless it appears to cause problems today. Always on a weekend.

Glad to hear I am not the only one thinking of down grading back to V5, I had 2 or 3 shutdowns last week, and I was only homing some fixtures. Not really happy putting V6 into a show situation yet.
We've also gone back to V5.1 for stability. No, you don't need to re-install the helpfiles as they're rolled back as well.

Hi,
I am sorry to hear that you find Congo v6 to be instable. If you have any more information about crashes or shutdowns, as well as dmp/log files, I would be very happy if you could send this to me for analysis so that we can get this fixed as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Anders

Hi all -
As Anders says, please send details of what you were seeing with v6 to the congo AT etcconnect DOT com address so that we can sort out a solution. We have a patch version (v6.0.1) that should be posted to the download site in the next day or so which does address a number of issues found in the last weeks since the release of v6.
Thanks much -

Thanks Ric, I appreciate it! (I did ring ETC today to confirm, & only saw your post after).
Files are on their way, Anders & Sarah--hope they're useful.
