Hello Anne,

I was wondering if there is a plan in a future release to have toggle capability for the go-to-cue-out command between being a global and user-level command.  We have a network with an ION, ION RPU, and an EOS set up for teching a show (ION for conventionals with scrollers and the EOS for the VLs) and discovered that it was global yesterday. It seems that in some show situations it would be good to have the capabilities of go-to-cue out (lamps out and home positions for devices) without affecting the other programmer.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Chris

I dont know if this would help you, but have you considered partitioned control? Having the conventionals on one partition for the Ion, and the other partition for the VL's on the Eos. That would assure Go to Cue out would just be for the particular fixtures you are working on.

Brian,

Thanks for the suggestion but, unfortunately, this is a system where we have partitions in use.   That's actually why we were confused that a go-to-cue-out on one console affection the fixtures that were partitioned exclusively to the other console.  We then called phone support and confirmed that the go-to-cue-out function is global and is not limited by partitions.  While nowhere near the end of the world in terms of an issue, it seems that having the ability to toggle this between global and partitioned control (or perhaps just partitioned control-wise) would be great.

Please tell Mr. Munn hello from San Diego.

Build a Cue 0.1 and goto it instead of Out.  We are running mutiple user and cuelists and thats our fix for now.  As long as the correct user is on the right cue list.  My buddy can goto cue 0.1 on his list 101 (different user id and partition) and it doesn't effect my programming on List 1.

Hi all.  We are adding in 1.9 the option to Go to Cue Out on a cue list specific basis.  So, if your programmers, working in a partitioned environment, are programming into different cue lists (not required, but recommended for ease of editing), this should address your requirement.  Yes???

:-)

thanks,
