Well, it only took us a few years, but we noticed that the Congo training tutorials were a little out of date. So, Ulf has been busy putting together entirely new tutorials using the new v6 software.

Take a look here!

Thanks -

So, do you guys like teasing us?  Is this fun for you to dangle v6 out there for us to see little bits and pieces but not get our hands on it?  Are you enjoying tormenting us by getting our hopes up, and then dashing them with words like "coming soon" and "later this summer"?

Seriously, though, the tutorials look great, especially the one describing the new docks!  Can't wait to see more with the new channel view interface, little glimpses have shown us a little, but I want to see more!

Can these videos be made available for download or on DVD? I work at a theatre owned by a school, and it would be great to have these available to our students on our network, Youtube is blocked to students for fairly obvious reasons.

They are now available for download from the Congo downloads page.

Near the bottom, there is a link to "Congo v6 Training Tutorial Movies Installer (for Congo, Congo jr, Congo Light Server and Client/Offline PCs)"

This ZIP file contains an installer that will copy the training videos in WMV format to the Congo folder on your hard disk, where they can be played in Congo Offline or Congo consoles from Browser > Media > Training Videos, or using Windows Media Player directly.

Keep on trying till you run out of cake.

They will be available as direct downloads from the ETC website shortly... There will be a page with the videos embedded via YouTube as well as a zipped bundle of all of the videos in Quicktime as well as Windows Media formats.

I hope this helps.

That's all brilliant thanks!

Richard

Edited to add:

Can the downloadable files be of a better quality than the ones in the downloader for the consoles? I pulled one up whilst talking to a colleague on stage whilst on stage and it looked "interesting" on a 14'x10' screen.....
