I've been using my Tablet PC (no keyboard) as a wireless client to give me portable access from around the stage. When running the EOS Software 1.4.5, I opened my commonly used displays as Tabs, and could simply select the needed display by clicking on it.
Now in the 1.7 Software, it seems like they've split the program into two windows, clearly an attempt to emulate two external monitors. However, this makes things more difficult to control when I have to swap back and forth between two windows (each with enough information that they need to be almost maximized). Is there a way to effectively close one of the windows to bring it back to a one-window environment?
"X"-ing out either window simply closes the whole program, and there's no "Monitor Arangement" options in Settings, as there is on the console itself...

If you launch Eos offline by going to C:\Program Files\ETC\Eos and double-clicking Eos.exe, you should start up in single window mode.

Try moving all of the tabs to one of the windows. Hold down the tab key and press the left or right arrow to move the tabs to the other window.

Thanks John! This works great.
Dennis - your suggestion was also a good one. However, since I'm using a tablet, every time I would want to move a Tab, I'd have to plug it into a keyboard so I can press multiple keys at once. I did, however, use a keyboard to manipulate the windows how I wanted them, then use the Snapshot button to 'save' this look, which was helpful.
Is there any way to revive the one window view if you are using the ION offline editor instead of the EOS? It is a bit taxing to switch back and forth between windows, but I do see where two windows would be beneficial.
Right-click your shortcut to "C:\Program Files\ETC\Eos\Eos.exe" and select Properties. In the Target field, add a space and the word ION to the end of the line. (see below) This will launch the OLE in fullscreen Ion mode.

Nice. I assume that the full screen modes may be added to the launcher at some time, but this works for now.
Any solutions for someone on a Mac to merge the two into one? I understand having two screens but do not like toggling back and forth

I have been experiencing the same problems. I much prefer the old interface. I found it to be much faster. I hope they can find a way to have the option of going back to the single interface.
Hi Mark,
The same principal applies to Mac. You can start the application directly with the command line parameter ION or ELEMENT. I can't seem to figure out how to do this with the Mac version of Windows shortcuts (Aliases), but in a post further below you will find 2 Apple scripts to launch in fullscreen Ion mode and fullscreen Element mode...
Hello Chris ,tried to run the two launchers but I get a non supported architecture icon are two apps PPC only?
i'm a intel here do you know what could be possible wrong?
thanks
Emiliano
Same here, the files you posted require Classic OS Support. Very strange. is it possible to do this with the Element as well? Or is that not possible due to Mirror Only Mode?

Hmmm, that is bizarre. I think it may have had somethng to do with zipping and sending from Windows. This time it's coming straight from my Mac to the forum, so hopefully it will work this time...
How can I go about launching EOS client in Full Screen?

Hi Bryan,
You should launch the Eos application directly instead of going through the welcome screen (aka shell)
On Windows: "C:\Program Files\ETC\Eos\Eos.exe"
On Mac: "\Applications\Eos Family"
