I was working with a church client that purchased 2 VL1000 TS fixtures with the SFML. Is there a way to patch the dimmer from the dimming rack to work with the intensity fader. We are currently using the dimmer channels to bring the intensity up and down as a work around.
I called tech support and it was suggested to me that we re-assign the DMX address at the dimmer rack to make it match the default dimmer assignment. I was hoping for a better solution.

Yes - use the Dimmer/Channel patch functions and patch it to the relevant Device in "D1" thru "D24" instead of "A1" thru "B24"
