Hi all,

Having the most basic of problems with my lovely new Ion

I purchased a Monacor Q5 12Volt 5Watt Lamp to put in the side of the desk and nothing happens when I plug it in.

Lamp works fine on my Verona , Venice , dare I say my Light Palette also.....

Have looked through all the settings and manual and it should all work fine i theory by just pluging it in.

Anybody have a similiar problem?

Hate to ask the silly question - but have you checked the dimmer knob next to the 3pin connector is wound up?
Only thing that pops to mind is that it may have a different pin configuration to LittleLites..

hi,

i had the same problem.

Solved it by resolder (is that english?) the pins on the connector.

5 mins work, o so much fun.

greetings

Checked the knob , even tried pushing and pulling it to see if it was a push for on thing.

Will try Marts suggestion for a re solder and compare the wiring to a Little Lite. I'd have thought all that wiring was standard tho.

Naa.. most are the same, but there are a few models out there that have different pin-outs...  have come across it once or twice before.

Cheers

Well have it fixed now,

Pin 2 was hot on the goose neck and pin 3 is hot coming from the ION

Thanks to all for the help.
