I have a few questions for you lovely people  which I'll post seperately to allow people to use the subject heading.

Is there a way to change the default time on a show which will then change all the times on cues already  recorded as default ?

At this stage, the default time is not referenced data.  So, the quick answer is ... no.

We've argued this topic a number of times.  No resolution, so we've made no changes to the behavior.

Thoughts all?

I wouldn't mind a find/replace time feature for global cue time changing, but in most instances, blind updating works just fine for me.

However, I would like to see global Auto-Mark timing implemented :)

How about an "if then" macro. An example: If cue [x] thru [y] is time [5] then time [3]. Similar to McKernon's search and replace function in Lightwright.

And now I have just made an enemy of the people in charge of the code.

Oh joy...

Turn macros into a scripting language....ugh!

But seriously, it's an interesting idea which we have thought about a lot.  Expanding our query functionality and recording that into a macro would be how we might go about that.  A number of other ways of implementing a solution to this type of feature are out there too.

Anne hasn't put it on a feature list at this point, but keep your eyes open in the future for something.

hmm..how many times would this situation ever come up? I can't see devoting more code to something like this.

I like Brian's if-then idea - but I do realise this could potentially be a massive programming nightmare!

I believe this actually came up in a plotting session just before a technical rehearsal - the LD wanted to leave the time at the default of 5 but wanted the option of changing all of the default 5s if it turned out to be too slow when it came to actually rehearsing it onstage.
