Eos/Ion sv 1.4.3 is now available for download from the product pages. Please also download the release note. This release fixes a handful of issues that cause the application to close (mostly related to use of About and lamp controls). It is highly recommended that all users update their software at the earliest opportunity.
Thanks all. Please advise of any problems either here or through tech support.
Best Regards,
Anne

Hi.
For the RVI, do I need the Software (console) version or the Client/offline version?
Stupid question, but I gotta ask.
thanks

Not a stupid question.
Its the console software.
Cheers
ETC: can I make a suggestion to your naming conventions on the software downloads, then?
The RVI operates as a client, or an offline editor. Yet the 2 downloads available are console or Offline/Client version, which appears to me to mean the RVI.
Perhaps the console software can reflect this (Ion console/RVI and the Computer Offline editor/Client version)? or something better than that gack?
I figure I'll remember this when 1.4.4 or 1.5 comes out, but for the next round of newbies. . .
Just a thought, YMMV.
Hey Anne,
Any update about the direct selects being put on the bump buttons?? That'd be kickass!
Agreed! Very Very kick ass!

External trackball support
Offline - windows that can be minimized
Autopaging in the table view
Expand table views horitzontally or vertically
Playback status display flag for cues with dark moves (excluding marks)
A "next/last move tab for channel about
Optional command line on the playback status display
Toggle between HSB and CMY/RGB color settings.
Next/last following current flexichannel state.
[at] [at] to set a light to full and self terminate
[sneak] [sneak] to sneak only the NPs of selected channels and self terminate
Group direct selects additive (just like channel direct selects)
Direct selects grey out when selected channels have no content for them.
Extended copy to/recall from functions.
Sneak subs from the command line
Support for multiple intensity fixtures
Flash
Cue Level Intensity Block
Latching fader control button for Ion
Storing to submasters autoplays back if sub is at full.
More granularity for clearing record targets
Quick save
Color print options for .pdfs
That help? :-)
Wow. Can't wait till March! and Thank you Anne for the preview! :)
Is the "External Trackball Support" for positional control of automated fixtures?
Yes. It can be used for that.
Hello Anne, Any idea if this will still be coming out soon? Thanks for the sneak peak and details!
Marshall
Marshall, we are currently scheduled for release the last week in April.
:-)
Hello Anne,
I'm new at this so I'm not sure I'm even in the right spot for asking this question but here goes. My old NSI board had a feature on it that allowed me to set the timing on chases by tapping to the time of the music. I believe it was appropriately named "Tap Sync". Does the ION have anything comperable to that feature or is there a plan to maybe incorporate someting like this in the future? ( I know the timing can be set by the encoders, but this can be a little cumbersome when trying to be creative in a live show environment).
Thanks, Warren
