I have 2 studios with one ION each on one dimming network via ethernet (sensor+ with CEM-Module). Also a small set with an ELC DMX-Recorder using a NET3 Gateway accessing these dimmer-network. The ION's has to back up each other, but I can't find a proper way. As Master/Client the lights are going off if the Master fails. As Master/Backup you have to take over control within a few seconds if the Master fails (otherwise the lights are going of...) As Master/Master the one ION don't know what's up on the other. Any Ideas?

Howdy Denny,

If you have an Ion in each of the two spaces used to control each of those two spaces, you

can't use them at the same time to be backing each other  up.

A Server Console can not be a Backup console at the same time for a different Server Console.

Are you in Europe? If so contact us Monday in Holzkirchen, and we can

help you plan out a solution.

yes. i am in berlin. so can you give me a contact for monday? by the way - the question is, why can not the client take over the control or hold the last look on stage if the master fails? i only need a way to be shure, that the show on both sets keep runing - even if the one ION fails or the other...

Good Morning Denny,

Are you at the Radialsystem Site?

If one of your Ions is running in Backup mode, then yes it can automatically take over for the other

Ion if it fails - but you cannot have both Ions controlling two seperate spaces and at the same time,

have them backup each other.

Send me a PM on here with your contact information, and I will call you.
