I'm having some trouble getting my offline editor reinstalled.  I'm getting the following error message:

"The procedure entry point MiniDumpWriteDump could not be located in the dynamic link library dbghelp.dll"

Does anyone know if this seems to be Congo related or Windows related?

 Thanks,

Sounds like you are running on an older Windows version. The requirements for the offline editor is Windows XP, SP2.

The procedure mentioned in the error message isn't available in Windows versions before XP.

I was watching the movies on Congo, most specifically the one titled "News4-1", and noticed that a window showing the main display opened up in an offline editor mode (about 14:00 into the clip).  Is there really a way to do this, or was this something special for the training film?

The display window that can be seen in the movies is not a public feature. It is just available for making this type of internal documentation.

I kind of thought so, but it never hurts to ask!

Is there anyway of getting the editor to run under windows 2000 (or linux) ? I cant see our IT department letting me loose with XP.

Sorry, no. Congo is only Windows XP compatible. (And Mac OS X compatible, but that probably doesn't help you much.)

Thanks -

You can always try running it through "wine" on linux, but it's probably too heavy of an application.

Based on its functionality, if you ran it through WINE, you should use an emulated Desktop because Ive had problems with fullscreen apps and DirectX apps under WINE (odly enough, World of Warcraft worked better windowed in one WINE release) But I'll try running the offline editor in WINE and report on how that worked out for me later
Edit: Ok, teh Congo Offlien Editor installs and boots successfully under teh WIEN API, but once you login yopu get a friendly error that leaves a dump,

For any WINE Debugers who care, here was my consoel output, and if ant ETC devolpers actually want this to work under WINE, i can send you the error dump adn a description of the error, but i doubt this is of any importance to you.
