    Mac 2k Personality Issue

We just got an Ion and some moving lights to go with it, so I'm pretty new to both. My apologies for being an annoying n3wb. :)

I've noticed on my Mac 2k Profiles (I believe the personality i use is Mac 2k Profie 16b) that when I use the Home key, the iris is set to pulse. This is annoying - it would make a lot more sense to have the home have the iris open. Is there an easy fix for this?

    easyice,

Not a stupid question, I've had the same issue just this week. There are 2 workarounds that I have found.

First, the correct iris mode is just one (Next) mode away when you hold down the Iris encoder, so that gets you to the right place pretty quick.

Second, you may record a "home preset", then set that under "Show Settings" in the Setup menu. I have not tried this yet, but if you were to put all of your fixtures at the correct "home" position (with the Iris mode correct) then record this as a preset and set that preset in the menu, your Mac 2ks irises be open when they go home.

    Hope that makes sense.

Hi guys. What version of software are you using? This problem with the Mac 2000 irises was fixed in 1.4.1. If you're running 1.4.1 but using a showfile from an earlier version you may need to Update Lib for the updated Mac 2000 fxture profile to be applied.

I just upgraded to 1.4.1, but had assumed there was still an issue. I will check next time I am at the console. Thanks!

    Re: Mac 2k Personality Issue

I checked out our fixtures today and both the Iris issue on the Performance and the Dimmer Wheel issue on the Wash both work correctly now.

However, I noticed that the gobos do not function correctly on our Martin Profile fixtures (we have 2k Performances and 550s). The "mode" change for the gobo wheel does not switch from Index to Rotate as it should. The fixture functions in Index under both "Index" and "Rotate".

    Maybe in 1.4.2?
