I've got a bunch of S4 with paint falling off the reflector houseing.  I've dealt with ETC for replacements, and am satisfied on that front, but I still need to repaint the S4.

Other than the Generic term BBQ paint, can anyone suggest what paint I should buy for this project?  Krylon is the typical industrial paint maker we get.  I'm not sure if they do a High Temp version in flat black.

What sort of Temperature rating should I be looking for?

My local supplier is Acklands Grainger, unless I need to go somewhere else for a REALLY specific paint.

My thoughts at this point was to wire brush all dead paint off, remove the bulb cap, shove paper over the reflector, remove the lens train, remove the shutter housing.  Apply spray paint.  1 maybe 2 coats.  Anything else I should be considering??

In Vancouver Canada, so retailers may not be compatable.

Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

We tend to use the Hammerite High Heat Paint for that very same job... http://www.hammerite.com/uk/products/ps_high_heat_paint.html

I'm not sure about availability in BC, sorry. I hope that helps.

P.S. Say hi to our fellow Brits; Cathy and Chris, for us. Cheers
