Student Opportunities

  • At ETC we love students! We know you bring a myriad of talents, a ton of enthusiasm, and make a huge difference during the busy summer months.

Now taking applications for our Intern/Externships and Co-ops!

    Intern/Extern and Co-op Opportunities

Co-ops: Students are paid and work at ETC while fulfilling obligations for an educational degree.  Both the co-op student and ETC management are usually required to interact with the co-op coordinator at the school, to complete reports, assessments and evaluations, and possibly allow the student to keep a portfolio of work accomplished during the experience.  Co-ops typically run from January-August or May-December.

Interns: Students are paid and work at ETC while fulfilling obligations for an educational degree.  Both the intern and ETC management are usually required to interact with the internship coordinator at the school, to complete reports, assessments and evaluations, and possibly allow the intern to keep a portfolio of work accomplished during the experience.

Externs:  Students are paid and work in their field of interest, but do not receive educational credit. Generally these students are in their Junior or Senior year of college. The student has the work experience to note on a future resume - a “learn while you work” opportunity.

Student Help: We also have other opportunities for students to work at ETC during the summer break. Positions are available in many departments, although the majority of roles are in assembly in our clean, air conditioned, manufacturing facilities at our Middleton and Mazomanie locations. Please apply for the location you are most interested in and include something in the notes field explaining your preferred department. We’ll take this into consideration as positions become available.

Assembly roles involve following procedures and instructions to build assemblies to quality and print specifications while maintaining expected productivity and output levels. Candidates should have good manual dexterity, the ability to operate hand and small power tools, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
